Our Story
Paris-Bagdad is an online rug brand selling machine-washable, Persian-style area rugs to customers across the United States. Our name joins the two cities our founder grew up between: Paris, and Bagdad, the French spelling of Baghdad. Today we offer 19 Persian-style designs, each in four sizes from 3'3" x 5'3" (100 x 160 cm) to 6'7" x 9'10" (200 x 300 cm), with free US shipping and 30-day returns.

We fell in love with that heritage, and we wanted to live with it every day. So every design we choose takes its cue from traditional Persian patterns: the medallions, borders and florals that weavers have passed down from one generation to the next. Then it is precision-printed on low-pile velvet and made for the way you live: soft underfoot, steady on the floor, easy to care for. Some objects hold a home together. For me, it has always been the rug — the place where everyone ends up: reading, playing, talking late into the night.
When I looked for one for my own home, I found two choices: a hand-knotted piece at a gallery price, or something that felt disposable. Paris-Bagdad is my answer: patterns carried by centuries of Persian tradition, on a rug you can actually live on. Every design here is one I would put in my own home.
