Buying Guide
Before you choose your rug
Is it really machine washable?
Yes. Every rug in the collection goes in the washing machine on a gentle, cold cycle, then air dries flat. No dry cleaning, no professional service. See how to care for it →
What are Paris-Bagdad rugs made of?
100% polyester low-pile velvet, with a precision-printed design and a dotted non-slip backing. It is soft underfoot and made to go in the washing machine.
Which size do I need?
In most living rooms, the largest size that fits your space. Our sizes run from 3'3" x 5'3" (100 x 160 cm) to 6'7" x 9'10" (200 x 300 cm). The front legs of the sofa and chairs should rest on the rug. Under a dining table, the rug should reach far enough past the table that the chairs stay on it when pulled out. Why a Persian-inspired design?
Because these patterns have been refined over centuries: a medallion to anchor the room, a border to frame it, colors that hide everyday life. Ours keep that look with a softly faded finish, so they feel collected, not brand new.
Are Paris-Bagdad rugs authentic Persian rugs?
No, and that's on purpose. Paris-Bagdad rugs are Persian-style: designs inspired by traditional Persian patterns, precision-printed on machine-washable polyester velvet, not hand-knotted. That is what makes them washable and affordable.
Why are your prices lower?
Because we sell online only, without a showroom. You pay for the rug, not for the store around it.
How do I care for it?
Vacuum on the suction setting without the beater bar, blot spills right away, and machine wash it on a gentle, cold cycle when it needs more. Read the Rug Care guide →
